Simon Boland
General Manager Development
Simon enjoys innovation and delivering quality solutions for real-world problems. He has over 10 years industry
experience in telecommunications research and development.
Prior to joining ubowireless, Simon worked in the R&D labs of Motorola and Avaya. At Motorola, he worked on low-level signal processing algorithms for voice communication. At Avaya, Simon gained extensive experience in software and systems engineering for a number of product lines and servicing applications. This included IP Phones, soft-clients, IVRs and conferencing applications.
Simon has a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) with honours from the University of Southern Qld and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology. In addition, he holds several patents in the areas of digital signal processing and IP telephony.
